Mold in Basement
The downspouts around this home didn’t have splash blocks to divert the water from around the foundation. Water would seep into the basement wicking up the drywall. After repeated rain storms, mold began to grow on the walls. The home owner called in an IEP (Indoor Environmental Professional) to perform air quality tests. The tests results showed elevated levels of mold. The IEP suggested the home owner call SERVPRO of Streamwood/ Bartlett/ West Chicago City to perform the mold remediation. The IEP sent the mold protocol to SERVPRO, who followed the protocol. The IEP performed a post remediation test, the test results showed the room to fall into the normal range and the basement was ready for post remediation construction.
